If the compatibility test fails with this message" "No UPnP Devices found", then there are probably two possible reasons for it:
- UPnP is disabled by default in your home router settings.
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a set of networking protocols that permits networked devices, such as personal computers, printers, Internet gateways, Wi-Fi access points and mobile devices to seamlessly discover each other's presence on the network and establish functional network services.
Most modern routers support UPnP, however, in some cases, they may disable this functionality by default. Here's an example for a router admin dashboard and UPnP settings:
In this case, the issue can be resolved by logging into the admin dashboard of your router and enabling UPnP functionality. If you don’t know how to login to your router admin panel, you may look up your router make and model online for instructions or use go to: https://portforward.com/router.htm
to look up your router make/model and follow the instructions there.
2. Your router does not support UPnP functionality
Some proprietary or older models of routers do not support UPnP, or implement less common protocols that are not compatible with UPnP such as Apple AirPort.
You can verify this by looking up your router make and model online and see if your router is equipped with UPnP. If your router does not support UPnP, it is still possible to use WEPN, however you need to set up port forwarding manually yourself which requires some technical knowledge.
The following website includes a comprehensive list for every specific router model/make to guide you through port forwarding. Please look up your router make and model and the tutorial to complete port forwarding: https://portforward.com/router.htm
You need to forward the 4000-5000 range to your WEPN Pod for both TCP and UDP protocols.
